Some Carb Theory lunches begin with an ingredient we have to source specially. For our beetroot burger, that ingredient was the bun: we found a supplier who could custom-make beetroot burger buns for us, then brought them into our corporate lunch menu in Bangalore.
We sent out more than 60 burgers to corporate clients in a single day. The feedback we received was enthusiastic: clients loved them. The pink bun gave a familiar lunch a distinctive appearance, making the meal feel a little more special before the first bite.
Finding a supplier for the bun we wanted
The beetroot bun was central to the idea, so sourcing it became part of creating the meal. We had to find a supplier willing to make the buns to order for Carb Theory.
That is an important part of this story. The buns were custom-made by our supplier, and our team used them to put together the burgers for our corporate clients. The colour carried through from the bun to the finished meal, giving this special its recognisable look.

What went inside our beetroot burgers
We have served different fillings with the beetroot bun. Our 14 October 2026 lunch menu listed two versions of “The Grain Burger”:
| Version | Filling listed on that menu |
|---|---|
| Chicken | Grilled chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, caramelised onions and our signature creamy sauce. |
| Vegetarian | Grilled paneer patty, lettuce, tomato, caramelised onions and our signature creamy sauce. |
An earlier menu, on 30 September, featured our “Grain-Inside” versions: a mince patty with quinoa mixed through it, and a vegetarian paneer-and-quinoa patty, both served in beetroot buns. These were different menu editions, each with its own filling.
The photographs from our kitchen show another part of the experience: rows of pink buns during assembly, with vegetables, filling and cheese being layered before the burgers are closed.

More than 60 burgers in one day
The idea reached corporate lunch tables at a meaningful scale for us: more than 60 burgers went out in a single day. What stayed with us was how warmly our corporate clients responded.
The colour added a sense of novelty to a familiar food. Alongside the filling and sauce, it helped make this a memorable Carb Theory lunch. That combination is what we want from a special menu item: something people recognise and enjoy, with a detail that gives them a different experience at work.
A special in the office lunch rotation
The beetroot burger is one example of how we bring variety to our corporate meal plans in Bangalore. Some days call for a familiar Indian meal; others offer room for a burger with a custom-made bun and a different filling.
The menu editions above record meals we have served. For upcoming availability, see our current weekly menu or ask Carb Theory about a beetroot burger lunch. Share your date, headcount and vegetarian/non-vegetarian mix so we can discuss the version and accompaniments for your team.
